The Free plan includes 500 MB/month of data volume, 24 hours/month of transform compute, a 50 topic/table cap, and full access to connectors, CLI, Terraform, MCP Server, and observability. No credit card required. Pipelines pause automatically after a week of inactivity.

Data volume is the higher of ingress (data coming in from your sources) or egress (data delivered to your destinations), measured in uncompressed GB per month. We take the maximum of the two — you are not billed for both. Reads, replays, and internal processing are not counted.

On paid plans, Streaming Agents run on dedicated vCPUs billed at $250 per vCPU/month. This applies to SQL, Python, and TypeScript transforms. You only pay for vCPUs you provision — there is no charge if you don't use transforms. Free includes 24 hours/month of shared transform compute.

Starter is $250/mo whether billed monthly or annually, with 1 GB/month of base volume and a 100 topic/table cap. When you need more, you add capacity blocks from your dashboard — no contract change required. Starter has a 30 GB monthly data volume cap; upgrade to Scale for uncapped volume.

On Starter and Scale, additional data is billed at $1.50/GB. On Free, pipelines are paused if you hit the 500 MB cap — no unexpected charges. Starter also has a 30 GB monthly cap. You can monitor usage in the dashboard and set alerts before you approach your limit.

No. Streamkap bills by data volume (GB), not by rows. For sizing intuition, most customers see roughly 5 million rows per 1 GB — but your mileage varies by schema width and column types. Volume is the real cost lever, so that's what you pay for.

Backfill data is free up to the included amount — 5 GB on Starter and 1 TB on Scale. Backfill beyond that counts toward your monthly volume at the normal rate. Free plan backfill is limited by the 500 MB cap.

Streamkap charges based on the amount of data flowing through our system. You can pay monthly or annually via credit card, invoice, AWS Marketplace, or Snowflake Marketplace credits.
